Donnington Park is a new circuit to MoonTech Racing and worsening weather looked to compound the team's troubles this season. However, Driver Mark Livermore warmed to the twisty, flowing track.
After the problems at Brands the previous month, Mark seemed to have the measure of the new, more compliant handling of Number 93. Improved gearbox reliability and a slight closing of the spark plug gaps produced a qualifying position of 5th on the grid. All of a sudden, the mood was very upbeat in the team tent. But, it was not to be, with the weather closing in fast, the Renault's from the previous race being blown all over the venue, the organisers called off the rest of the day and to be fair, by this time, it was quite dark and gale conditions were making everybody very uncomfortable.
Mark and Chief Engineers Eddy report that other than not being able to actually race, they were very pleased with the day and the whole team looks forward to Brands and thence, to the close season.
